“Celebrate the Heroes” is a fundraiser and appreciation banquet to honor the Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens and to raise funds to support YOUTH PROGRAMS for hunting and fishing in Texas. This event is design to bring together individuals, businesses and wildlife organizations to support and honor our Texas Game Wardens and to raise funds to benefit Texas youth hunting and fishing programs. All members of the Texas Wildlife Association (TWA), Exotic Wildlife Association (EWA), Texas Deer Association (TDA), Texas Game Wardens Association (TGWA), Deer Breeders Co-Op (DBC), Safari Club International (SCI), Texas Farm Bureau (TFB), Dallas Safari Club, Houston Safari Club, Coastal Conservation Association, Ducks Unlimited (DU) and all those who want to participate in this honorary event are invited. This years’ event will raise funds through your donations and an auction that will directly benefit the Texas Youth Hunters Program a partnership program of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and the Texas Wildlife Association. We recognize the social and economic value the sport of hunting and fishing brings to Texas. Perpetuating the sport of hunting and fishing includes offering opportunity for our youth to experience these sports. The Texas Game Wardens place their lives on the line every day so that hunters and fishermen can enjoy the wildlife resources in Texas. This celebration honors their service.
The Hero Of The Year Award -The Texas Game Warden Association will present the finalists for the Game Warden with the most heroic act of service for the preceding year and choose the person who will receive the "Hero of the Year" award. This award will be presented to this person at the conclusion of the Saturday evening celebration and appreciation dinner.
This annual event is created to bring together many organizations which have as a part of their purpose enhancing, managing or preserving the hunting and fishing industry in Texas.
